FAQ Regarding our new online materials:

What does this mean for my child?  Well, it means that they will have access to brand new websites and materials to help aid them in learning the Common Core Standards taught in sixth/seventh grade math.

What hands-on materials will they have?  For seventh and eighth graders they will have just a workbook.  The workbook will act as their textbook, notebook, and homework all in one!  For eighth grade accelerated they will have a workbook, but also an in-class textbook.  Their homework will either be in their workbook or a worksheet. They will have a digital textbook that they can access from home on any device (we recommend a tablet or computer for this).

Do I have to have internet access at home?   No.  I would like to assign some online homework, but if your child does not have wifi access at home, they will be given the opportunity to complete their assignment at school (probably during activity period).  If you are an eighth grade accelerated parent and you do not have any access to wifi at home please communicate this with me immediately.  I can arrange for your student to have access to a computer during the school day if I assign online work.

What does my child need for class?  As always, they will need a pencil and their workbook.  It is imperative that the workbook is with them everyday in class so they can take notes and have their homework.  There will be consequences for not having their workbook with them in class, leading to disciplinary action if it becomes a regular occurrence.

What if my child loses their workbook?  As with any lost material, there will be a charge for replacing a lost workbook, which will be around $10.
